Film Workshop

The Animated Film Workshop provides children an opportunity to gain exposure to contemporary techniques and equipment as well as historical optical toys, through which one can apply one's creativity in moving pictures. Children also develop their manual skill, their sense of time and color, and storytelling skills. Child directors, artists and animators can immediately watch the fruits of their fantasy, their own first little films so to speak, in the "cinema" they have constructed with their own hands: ……. Zootrope, traumascope or altogether from the customary television screen.
Such games to create associations between various types of knowledge and experiences in childhood establish the preconditions for the formation of new knowledge in adulthood.
Young animated filmmakers Ruth-Helene Kaasik, Mait Laas, Ülo Pikkov and Priit Tender from Nukufilm and Joonisfilm pass their experiences in making films to children in the animated film workshop.
The Animated Film Workshop will travel from one place to another in Estonia - according to necessity it will be in Pärnu, Rakvere, Põltsamaa or Tallinn, or Riia.
