The film is based on the correspondence between a book character, inventor Jaan Tatikas, created by the Estonian literary classic Eduard Bornhöhe (1862-1923) and the famous Italian polymath, Renaissance luminary Leonard oda Vinci’s spikrit. Both men were eager to give the man wings and fly him up in the blue-blue sky.
“For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.” This is how the Renaissance luminary, the pioneer of aviation Leonardo da Vinci expressed himself – a man, who died nearly 500 years ago.
